2007 wrangler unlimited towing checklist?

First time towing and was wondering if anyone has a good pre departure checklist for flat towing the jeep. Covering everything from getting it all hooked up, circuit breakers to pull , getting jeep in proper gear etc..... Just looking for a good checklist that kind of covers things in the order they should be done. Thx!

You can download the owner's manual from this site: My Jeep: Jeep Owners Service Manuals - 4x4 SUVs, Sports Utility Vehicles, Off Road Just enter your year and model name. Once downloaded go to the Starting & Operating > Recreational Towing section.

I have my owners manual and getting the jeep configured is easy. I was just looking for a general checklist for everything else, safety chains, ops check on lights, yank the proper fuses, remember to disengage the parking brake etc.....

I thought I saw a nice comprehensive list that someone made a a while back but couldn't find it under the search function. I know a lot of it is common sense but I'm a pilot so I am very checklist and walk around oriented. Thanks for the help

This is my procedure for my 2008 Unlimited Sahara:
Position behind M/H
Release Tow bar from catch
Install arms and spring loaded pins
Install safety/breakaway cables
Hookup Light wiring from M/H to Jeep
Hookup air line for Jeep braking
Hookup breakaway wire
Check to ensure lights function, Brake, turn signals, emergency flashers
Attach Road Guardian to base plate (Roadmaster product to prevent rocks from hitting Jeep)
This completes hookup oof Jeep toM/H

Release emergency Brake
Turn Key to On
Depress brakeandshift transmission to neutral
Shift transfercase to neutral
Start engine and place transmission in Drive to be surethat transfer case is in neutral
Shut off engine
Put transmission in park
Turn Ignition switch to on
Ensure all windowa are closed
Disconnect Battery ( disengage the large white fuse-don't remove) I bought an attachment from Cool Tech that attaches to the negative battery terminal that has a knob/wheel which I turn to disengage/engage the battery.
Close and secure hood
Sit in drivers seat and make sure battery is disconnected (no warning signals/dome lights)
Visually recheck-Emergency brake off, Key switch ON, Transfer case neutral, and Transmission in park
Pull M/H forward to ensure tow bar arms lock (or push Jeep backward)

To disengage
Remove Tow bar in reverse order
Engage battery
Start engine
Turn off engine
Shift transfer case to 2H (if difficult pull lever to 4H and then to 2H)
Shift transmission to park
Reset radio clock and settings

Hope this helps.

Should be good to go!
