I see that the 2008 Honda CRVs have tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). Does anyone know if there is a fuse or some other means to disable the Honda system if you want to use a system such as the Pressure Pro monitoring system? Since PP requires a sending unit on the tire valve stem I would expect Honda's TPMS to "beep" or "light up" to signal that their own valve caps were missing. I'd rather be able to monitor the MH and toad from the dash area of the MH.
Any thoughts?

You won't need to worry about disconnecting the TPMS on the Honda. I have a 2007 Honda with the same TPMS you have on the 2008. When I tow it I just put the Pressure Pro sensors on the stems and it works fine. The sensors for the Honda system are not in the valve caps but the sensors are inside the wheel. The unit is at the other end of the valve stem from the valve cap. BTW, the CRV is a great toad.

Paul is correct. When you install the Pressure Pro (or any additional TPMS) both the Honda TPMS and Pressure Pro will work. I run both and have never had a problem.

You can also use the SmarTire system, which uses internal sensors that will transmit to both the toad and RV if you set them both up. SmarTire uses sensors that measure temperature as well as pressure and mount around the inside of therim with a large clamp. Your OEM sensors are found inside the rim but at the base of the valve stem so they won't interfer with anything. For details on my SmarTire system check out http://www.rvcruzer.com/smartire.htm.

Mark thanks for the information on the SmarTire system. I was already familiar with that type of TPMS. I have used the PP system for 2 full years now on the tow vehicle and our fiver and have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. I see no reason to change from something that's already working well.
Thanks anyway.
