2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited auto tranny
Is there some sort of wiring system that I can simply snap intowiring harness on the Jeep to work brake lights, turn signals and tail lights from the wiring on my MH? Something similar to the things we snap into the wiring to add the pigtail for towing a trailer, but can be added to the wiring up front of the Jeep.

i made my own with a couple of sockets from autozone and drill a 15/16 hole
in the tail light assembly wire them up per standard trailer diagram to a 4 pin connector
you are ready to go totally isolated from the jeep,
total cost less than 25 bux

Tncruiser, what was the part number of the sockets you used? Want to set my 2012 up the same way.

i just installed the cool tech harness on a new 2011 wrangler sahara and it is just plug and play. Easy install
IF YOU NEED A BASE PLATE CHECK THIS OUT http://www.currieenterprises.com/ces...t.aspx?id=2791
I JUST INSTALLED ONE OF THE CURRY PLATES ALSO AND IT FIT LIKE A GLOVE AND LOOKS LIKE A SKID PLATE WHEN NOT TOWING

I dont know te part # but they are just replacement sockets for 1157 bulbs,if I get a chance i will get to autozone and find out.I like the set up because it is its own system and in no way connects to the jeeps electrical system

While it does cost more than $25, the Blue Ox complete light kit is available here for $56 with free shipping: Amazon.com: Blue Ox BX8869 Bulb and Socket Tail Light Wiring Kit: Automotive
