2009 Dodge Ram 1500 battery?

We just got our Dodge Ram set up to tow and our Entegra Anthem outfitted with the AFO brake system. The RV shop that did the work didn't know if we needed to stop every couple of hours and turn the Ram on so that the battery didn't drain ... does anyone know if this is needed? The key is in the aux position.

My previous toad was that vintage so the key had to be in the AUX position to unlock the steering. I purchased and installed a quick disconnect for the negative battery cable to prevent the battery from discharging. Worked for several years. My 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 doesn't require to have the ignition KEY even installed.
