2011 Chevy equinox tow with all 4 wheels down

I have a 2010 Equinox and have towed it (4 down) for three years. The owners manual tells you what fuse to pull before towing. It's located by the passenger's left foot rest. I don't know if there are any differences between 2011-2010 model years. Hope this helps.

Have towed our 2011 for 2 years now with no problems. Just follow owners manual instructions.If you do a search of IRV2 for Equinox you will find many discussions and instructions on the topic.

We towed a 2010 for about 1 year with no problems and instead of pulling the fuse I made a fuse bypass by taking a fuse apart using the spades and soldering a wire to each spade with a inline fuse to a little rocker switch. You can also buy a fuse bypass but it can be made for 2 or 3 $,

I tow a 2010 Equinox. Thats the first year of the model change over. The manual states you can tow if you put the vehicle in neutral, pull the third fuse, and then turn the ignition switch back on to unlock the steering wheel. You should also keep the speed under 65 mph and stop every 250 miles to run the engine for 5 minutes to recirculate the transmission fluid. I took it from Florida to Montana last year and will be going to New England in 2 weeks. No problems and its a good car to drive. So far the odometer has 33, 000 miles on it and no warrantee work. Just routine oil changes.
