2011 Ford Explorer base plate

I'm looking for the best baseplate for the 2011 Ford Explorer things I'm looking at is ease of install and best fit not finding a lot of info online, I've had good results from demco products in the past, the roadmaster looks like it goes on with no cutting but didn't know how it connected to my tow bar I have the readybrute elite, just wonder if anyone has been through this deliema.

Ready brute sells plate adapter brackets for about any tow brackets, on the Roadmaster brackets it looks like you could remove the bottom part of the grill instead of cutting holes in it . Clock on the bracket part no for instructions.

Thanks Walt2137 I will check on this plate if he has all the hardware might save a few bucks, I will need to check for fit seems units with adaptive cruise control requires a different plate. But I will check it out.

The only difference in the 4427-1 and the -3A is the arms, it will fit. It does require you to cut holes in the little plastic grill but you can remove the grill instead of cutting it.

What type of trans do you have ? Is it front wheel drive only ?

I would check very closely because if I recall correctly not all the >= 2011 explorers can be towed 4 down.

(We have a 2013 AWD Sport, but tow the jeep so far)

It's 2 wheel drive the manual says it can be towed just shift threw the gears with engine running and back to neutral and go do this every six hours? So we going to give it a shot
