2011 Ford Flex dead battery

We have towed our car before with no problem, but the last time when we arrived our battery was DEAD. Followed all the directions, made sure all things were off in the car that could drain the battery. Anyone have any ideas? We are towing as I post so it will be interesting to see if the car is dead when we arrive! Wondered if the wiring harness could in some way be draining the juice.??

While you may have turned off everything that you could, there are still items that you can't turn off and you are also using the brake lights, turn signals and etc. Your wiring harness from the MH to the toad should have a 12vdc lead that keeps the battery charged. Maybe that wire has come loose in the connector or the fuse that supplies the 12vdc has blown.

If they are using a 4 pin connector for the toad lights, there is no battery charge line. It is providing the power for the lights, though.
