2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Wiring

Has anyone wired their 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee's lights to their RV? If so, can you save me some time and let me know where you tapped into the Jeep's wiring?

That's the last thing I have left to do. The Roadmaster tow plate is installed as is the Air Force One brake system. Unfortunately, the RV is 1,000 miles away, so I can't test everything until next month.

Thanks,

Gil

I dropped mine of at a shop with a guy who knew what he was doing. Went back and picked it up. All is good!

I had a separate harness put in for my 2008 GC. That way the coach power just feeds the new lights that my dealer installed in the back lenses. No link and no chance of contaminating the Jeep wiring harness.

Tom, that's not an option on the 2011 because the tailight housings are covered by the body sheet metal. They have to remain removable to change the factory bulbs.

Thanks though,

Gil

I installed separate bulbs on my Commander and they don't have any effect on the ability to remove the assembly to change a bulb. From photos I've seen, the 11GC isn't much different.

I finally got the wiring done. All wires are accessible in a bundle just under the glove box. Jeep did a strange wiring job. There are different wires and wiring color for each of the left and right running lights. They obviously need seperate wires for left and right turn/brake wires, these have the same colors. Anyway all seems to work fine.
