B-I-L has a brake buddy that he tried to plug into the outlet in his Jeep, but it is controlled by the key. If the key is turned to run, the outlet is hot, otherwise it is off. Is there an easy way to get around this short of leaving the key in the car?

Brake Buddy sent me a kit that provides another power outlet that attaches directly to the battery. I mounted the new power outlet right under the dash.

A 10 second fix. The M7 fuse is offset a notch, move it up next to the 10 amp fuse and your outlet will be hot all the time.

I just hard wired an additional fused accessory outlet directly to the battery.
