I'm trying to figure out the best way to set up the lighting on a 2012 Enclave. I can't figure out a good place to install the bulb socket, or should I consider the factory lighting using diodes?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I just had them installed on my 2012 Enclave. They installed them just above and to the inside of the current bulbs, hope the explanation helps. From what I was told it was a pretty easy job. Should have done it myself after seeing it.
I am going to build a seperate lighting system. My enclave has a reciever hitch. I am going to take a piece of 2 inch tubing and drill the hole to fit in the receiver hitch. Then take another piece of square tubing and weld to the end of the reciever hitch. I have not made it yet so not sure of dimensions yet but Probably going to be 30 inches long. Next take two pieces of square tubing around 25 inches long that will just fit into the 30 inch piece. drill two wholes in the 30 inch piece roughly 10 inches from the end. Weld a nut over the hole and put a bolt through the nut to hold the shoter pieces in place. slide the 25 inch pieces in each and and use the bolt in each end of place to hold them from moving. get an LED stop/ tail light and mount on front of 25 inch piece near the outer end.. Next take a yellow marker light and mount on the very end of the 25 inch piece. run light wiring through the tubing. mount a connector on the end of the wiring. Run a piece of 4 wire trailer wiring under the vehicle and secure in place with frame clips mount the appropriate connector at the front and back of the vehicle to attach wiring from Motor Home on one end and to plug the light bar in on the other. The stop/tail lights are pretty self explanatory. The yellow marker lights on the end are to help me determine when I am past any cars that I am passing at night. I should be able to see the yellow marker lights when I pass. I am going to run the shorter pieces of tubing out to where the marker lights are out past the width of the tow vehicle.
I am going to build this next week so I dont have the exact measurements for it. When I get done building it I will give exact dimensions but I imagine that the ones I listed above should be pretty close. This will allow me to use this on any vehicle I want to tow and I wont have to worry about interfacing with the vehicle wiring system.
