We purchased a new F150 4X4 due to it's ability to be flat towed with no modifications (other than aux brake). Have made 2 trips north in it without the MH and are having problems with LF wheel bleeding rust when wet. Have had it back to the dealer 4 times. The choice today was to swap rotors on front to see if it follows. Not liking the fact we are being made a guinea pig as Ford doesn't know what the cause is.
Will keep you posted on resolution. If any one else has experienced this, please let me know. I want to have base plates and brake installed, but not till problem is resolved.
Thanks
Chuck

its the same rotors we all use, cast iron
they simply rust over night if the conditions are right

maybe that particular rotor just is one that likes to rust faster
mine squeal in the morning, for about half the drive way.
but never have they run rust down the wheel.

Yep. Never had this problem before on other Fords we have owned. Runs all the way out to tire edge. 7 mile round trip to town with wet roads and it showed up Monday, that's why it went back in today.
