The inline 6 disappeared in 06. The 2007 thru 2011 used the 3.8 v6 transplant from MiniVan duty. It had the same torque and HP curves as the inline 6 but could pass emissions and fit under the hood of the new Wrangler. If you are not afraid to keep the Revs up, you can make this engine work. I've driven it across country many times. You just got to keep it in the powerband.
