2012 Toyota Matrix TOAD

I want to tow my 2012 Matrix behind my MH and I cannot find a manufacturer that makes tow bar mounting brackets for it.
I have checked Roadmaster and Blue Ox and they don't seem to have a product for this model year.

Can anyone give a suggestion on where to look for a solution?

Robo

You might try Demco Towing Products at 800-543-3626. They list the part number 9518228 baseplate for 2009-2013 Matrix. You may want to call them to make sure they have one in stock.

If it is a standard transmission you're fine. Not sure if you can make a Toyota auto flat-towable. I think a dolly is your only option. Remco <www.remcotowing.com> can clarify it for you. They are the ones who make transmission pumps for flat-towing. They also sell base-plates and tow bars, I believe.

I failed to mention in my original post that the Matrix has a manual transmission and is towable on all fours as per the ownvers manual.

I will have a look at the Demco baseplates...

Thanks for your help!

Call Blue Ox in Nebraska and ask them. I don't know if they still do it, but two years ago they would install a baseplate free if you had a car that they could not fit yet. They were wonderful and even gave us a free toward plus a loaner car. Free camping too... Just have to drive to Nebraska

Unfortunately we do not have a current fit application for your 2012 Toyota Matrix. However, if you would be interested in coming to Blue Ox we offer a great fit program. The design process takes approximately 2-3 days and to show our appreciation you will receive:

A free baseplate
A free BX7445 Aventa LX tow bar
No installation fees
Wiring kit is installed; however, customer is responsible for the cost of the kit
Company car is reserved for your use
Optional factory tour

If you are interested, please feel free to contact Blue Ox at 402-385-3051 or email us at info@blueox.com
