2014 Cherokee first tow
Towed today for the first time all went well after I learned that the parking break only turns off after you push the break peddle.(hint to other owners)

rream,
Thanks for the info on the parking break. Glad to know this before my Cherokee arrives. Glad to hear everything else went well. I am looking forward getting ours set up.
What are you using for tow bar and brake system, if you have one?
Stuart

I just towed my TH for the first time using my break buddy. When I arrived to unhook, I had trouble getting brake+start button to start engine.
Finally got brake to push down enough for start button to work.
Have you had any similar problems?
If so any solution?

Towed my Limited now 9 times and never had this problem - I follow the instructions to a T on how to drive it again

UPDATE - On my return trip I double checked that I was following the instructions to a T also.
Figured out that the problem was the Brake Buddy on the first trip. It had engaged the brakes just enough to not have any hydraulic pressure in the Jeeps brakes at the end of the trip, but not to lock up the tires. My remote failed to indicate any braking occurred as well.
Guess I've got thinner pads now. Anyway, return trip everything worked just fine.
Another reason to check at each stop. Had forgotten that rule of towing.

I know when setting up my Brake Buddy on my 2008 GC, I have to push the test button 4-5 times to release the vacuum assist on the brakes. That way the brakes work on a 'manual' basis instead of a power-assist that would cause them to lock up.
