2014 crv

I apologize for yet another CRV thread, but my question is short. Will removing the 7.5 amp. Aux/radio fuse while towing ( as Honda suggests ) cause the NAV and Radio settings to be lost? I am concerned with having to re initialize the Sirius radio, etc...
Bob

It does not on my 2012 CRV. Probably not on your 2014 either.

We don't have nag on our 2012 which we bought used just to tow. The radio settings are retained.

You should consider adding a "fuse disconnect switch." I had that added for $60 when I had the SMI braking system installed. It is so simple - just flip the switch and it disconnects the fuse you would otherwise have to pull. And the location of the fuse does not make it easy to pull. You get confirmation that the fuse has been disconnected when the display panel goes dark.

I thought about adding a charge line to the CRV, but the switch is much simpler. After approximately 1,400 miles of towing there have been no battery issues.

My post should say "we don't have nav…"

Predictive spelling is often a PITA.

BCook, My wife would disagree, it is a nag. DW thinks she should be the only nagivator. In fact, she has a name tag proclaiming NAGIVATOR.

Many coaches have a pin on the seven pin connector dedicated to charging the toad battery. If you utilize that function you don't have to pull or turn off any fuses.

We have a 2011 CRV for tow. We have not been able to get camping World to get it fixed right. Over a year later we still don't have it fixed. We spent 8 hours at Cw today probably our 4th trip) when we left and unhitched., the cars lights came on and off intermittently , then the brake stayed on. Could have ruined our brakes, hope not.

We previously had Carpenters in Pensacola move our Even Brake to the New CRV they not only burned up our Even Brake but completely messed up our Electrical. $1500 down the drain.

That's when we bought the Invisbrake and had CW in Foley install. Same song different verse. $1700 still no satisfactory aux brake and auto electrical messed up to boot. Where do you go to get things done right? We are thinking of foregoing either aux brake or just no toad. Blood pressure meds now and lots of wine.

We love the MH lifestyle but getting too old for this mess

Brabono, I have a 2011 CR-V with a brakemaster installed by Road Master in Quartzsite. Great system, I had it on two previous Toads before. I chose Road Master to do the install since it is their system. If you look at Roadmasterinc.com you can find the closest place and date they will be there.
