2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Questions

Looking to buy a new 2014 Jeep 4 Door Rubicon to use as a Toad. Will towing it four down void the warranty? Does it need to be automatic or standard shift? What is the best tow bar?

Thank you

won't void the warranty. auto or stick doesn't matter. just put transfer case in neutral and away you go. personally I prefer road master but there are several to choose from. also like smi's Air Force 1

I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, great tow vehicle. Either transmission is factory authorized to be towed 4 down. For the base plate consider Currie base plate. Also recommend MOPAR wiring harness.

I have a 2012 JK Rubicon. Great toad car. No warranty problems but carefully follow the instructions to put Transfer Case in neutral. Ditto the recommend for the Mopar towing harness. I have a Roadmaster Sterling towbar connected to welded mounts on my aftermarket front bumper.

I have a 2012, it is not awesome as it is a bit heavy, but it sure is sweet when I get to the trails. I don't get the tow bars that store on the toad. Especially a JK, you don't want that getting in the way on the Jeep if you are wheelin. I use the Blue Ox and the bar stows on the MH and you can barely see anything on the toad.

Tranny doesn't matter, warranty isn't voided. All is good where that is concerned.

You can also install a aftermarket front bumper and connect tow bar to D ring loops or brackets, this instead of a base plate. If going the base plate route the Currie is good.
