Invisibrake and Roadmaster tow bars installed by Camping World in Tacoma WA on 2010 Ford Edge. All lights work, brake works, battery charges. Must have had a good Technician?

Very good. The lighting wiring problem mostly came into play on the 2015 models
Glad everything is working great.

I have an almost new invisibrake I am selling if anyone needs one.

Picked up the 2015 Edge from the technician that did the wiring for lights today. Hooked it up to the motorhome tonight to make sure everything worked.

Turn signals and brake lights work fine but for running lights, we have only the small lights on the rear sides of the brake lights, not even on the back of the vehicle.... that's it. And no license plate light.

This can't be right. Technician called blue ox (no help) and e-trailer...they said it sounded right. Technician said if I heard of any fixes to let him know and he'd make it right.

Help. More lights than mentioned should work on the back of the 2015 Edge....right???

I am hooking mine up this morning for a short trip and will check which lights come on and let you know as soon as possible after that.

UPDATE: I just hooked up my Edge and checked the lights, only the side brake lights come on, this is normal. Believe me they can be seen pretty well by following vehicles. The lights across the back I was told aren't used as they are on a different circuit or wire. I have no problem with the way they are.

John

First time trying to post a pic...hopefully it works.

This is all I get for running lights. Don't like that we don't at least have a license plate light....that's law in Ohio.

I think you will find the law only applies if the vehicle is being driven NOT when it is being towed. The license plate light does not work on my Cadillac either.

Good to know....thank you.

John, when you say your "side" brake lights work, do you have more lit than the small light I have circled on the picture above when just using running lights? I had hoped the red would illuminate at least to the hatch door.

Are the wiring instructions appropriate for the 2015 model? All of the lights work normally as they should on our 2010 Ford Edge

AAA.com has a list of requirements by state. Info on FMCA website and other RV sites. It depends upon which states you travel in, but generally tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals required.
