2015 Ford Edge wiring
I have a 2015 Ford Edge at an RV dealer who is attempting to install a braking system in it.
We will be towing the Edge.
Dealer has encounter problems with the wiring in the tail light.
Any suggestions on where I can get a wiring diagram?

The Edge is not rated for being aTOAD as 4 wheels down- is this what you're doing?

Not so according to the FMCA towing guide, I towed a 2011 and was one of the best toads I ever had, I have not seen anything on a transmission change or issue on the Edge, I think you are getting it mixed up with the Ford Escape.

Skippy I have never wired up LED toad lights on a toad and not sure but think it would be different than regular lights, I do know that the 5 wire to 4 wire converter is different, they make a converter for LED toad tail lights. I think I would call Etrailer and speak with one of their techs.

Motorhome Mag's towing guide doesn't list it as approved, maybe previous years it was ok, no- not confusing it with another car. If FMCA says it's ok there's a conflict.

Well, I see FMCA's now...if it's an ECOBOOST then you can't. the V6 is ok. Don;t know why MM mag doesn't say.

The issue with Motorhome Magazine's towing guide is that Ford was late with the 2015 Edge, so it didn't make it into the guide. But it is towable, you just have to disconnect the battery. (That's why I bought a 2013.)

Here is Ford's 2015 towing guide. See page 11 for the Edge

Try and live up to your dogs opinion of you.

Hello Skippy95,
I am interested in your solution to your wiring problem. I have run into a similar problem with my 2013 Lincoln MKX....same as the Edge. Blue Ox told me there was no wiring harness for my MKX and would have to use a light bar. Said there was multiplex wiring and now harness has been designed for it yet. Also, when you put the car in neutral and turn off the ignition before towing I notice my dash lights stay on. Are you experiencing the same thing with your Edge?
Thanks,
Pete46

My dealer says the Lincoln MKX has LED tail lights, as does the Ford Edge and the Lincoln Mks. Cannot hook up those LEDs to the motorhome. So they are installing an additional light into the tail light assembly to run off the motorhome.
