In my 08 wrangler unlimited we had to disconnect the battery or remove a fuse to kill the power to the dash/odometer

go get it fixed under warranty, i bet your key was in the truck and the brain sensed it was there. push button start system right.
there is a procedure to unlock wheel and not set the ecm as "ON"
it in the recreational towing section if memory serves

Huh? That's the 1st I've heard. There have been several posts about towing the 2015's. The biggest problem mentioned was locking the doors with the key in the ignition setting off the alarm. i hope you find a resolution.

The ignition is push button, how is this possible?

My apologies. The alarm is set off when it is "locked using the remote". On 2015's, you must use the key to lock the door so the motion sensor function is not activated.

2015 Ford F 150 Lariat 4x4 crew cab 3.5 toad

Followup! Ford tech support dept told me nothing could be done to prevent the mileage from being recorded. However, the engine independently records the hours ran. Although a mitagater, that was not good news. I,m stuck!

I thought I had read somewhere that mileage wasn't being accrued flat towing?

Anyone currently towing the new f150 care to chime in?

I'm towing a 2015 F150 4x4 Eco boost and it does not accumulate mileage when I pull it.
