2015 Sonic as aToad?

I am considering 2015 sonic Lt, 6 SPD auto. Anyone have dinghy experience with this? Also have brake buddy. I assume the 12v socket will still be hot with dlis fuse removed?

No, do not think so, the purpose of removing the fuse is to stop drain on the battery which includes all dash accessories.

I read that the 2014 Sonic auto is towable only in the "L" model with the 1.8L engine. Double check the owner manual to make sure that 2015 LT is ok to tow 4-down.

Found one more tidbit of info on sonic,in addition to removing dlis fuse #2, if adding supp braking, it needs a brake switch installed, and lighting can be either drill/bulb type or magnetic mount. The universal with diodes is not compatible. (Roadmaster compatibility guide)

If the Sonic lights are like the Spark only the top light works with the brakes on the toad, when I set up the 2014 Spark 5 speed standard I used the bottom light for the lights from the coach, it worked good.

I tow a 2012 Sonic 6spd auto. Tows great, no issues!
Found the lighting harness part # on Demco's website. Ordered from Napa.

We have a a 2014 Sonic LTZ that we tow occasionally. When we put our bikes on the back, you just can't see the Sonics lights during the day so I plan to add a set of magnetic lights. If I had known that at the beginning, I would not have used any of the Sonics bulbs for lights.

When you add the extra brake light switch for your monitor, be sure to connect it directly to the battery (via a fuse). Any 12 volt source I found inside went away 10 - 15 minutes after you close the door.

Brake Light Relay Tow Bar Braking Systems | etrailer.com

Click on more info on the right to see a video, this is a pain in a## to install that is why I try to avoid using one.

Finally got down the road with my new 2015 Chevy Sonic LT HB...pulls great! No problems. Found that with key in first position after off, remote locks didn't work, however, when I switched the fuse out of circuit, they worked. This actually helps remind you to remove/switch fuse out of circuit. 2-3 hour drive, toad battery down perhaps a couple tenths of volt, sm using even brake so there will be some minor drain. Also odometer is out of service while towing.
