2016 Ford Edge towing report

We just finished a 1500 mile trip towing our Ford Edge Titanium 2wd and thought I would post my experiences for anyone considering this toad. We have a Blue Ox Aventa tow bar and base plate with and Air Force One stay and play braking system. The whole experience was very smooth with no problems encountered at all. Car tracked true entire time and the rig managed 9.1 mpg average. We also had a charge line run to the battery from the coach and had no problems with that as well. Hope this information is helpful.

We do not pull any fuses or disconnect battery cables on our 2010 Edge AWD. Simple procedure. Is it the same on your 2016 Edge?

We have a negative battery disconnect switch and that is per the owner's manual. Other than that nothing else. So far no problems.

My disconnect is a key type handle that is mounted on the fire wall in front of battery. Open hood, turn key and remove, close hood. So far no problems.
