2016 Ford Explorer Toad Wiring

I just bought a new 2016 Ford Explorer and need to wire it in order for towing. Has anyone had one wired yet? And if so, are there any special tricks to wiring it that I need to know before diving in to this project.

Thanks, Sammie

Make sure you run a charge line for the battery. We towed an 08 for years no problem. Bought our 14 and immediately started having dead battery problems. The new ones have so much computerized stuff running with the key in #1 position that even following the directions to start the car every six hours is not enough to keep you from a dead battery.

Curious... is the 2016 available with the neutral lockout kit for towing 4 down or did you need to install a drive-line disconnect? We tow a 2010 and was told that was the last year the kit was available. Thanks in advance.

Mine is a 2014. Neutral Lockout Kit no longer needed. Just place the transmission in neutral turn key to #1 position and go. Must be a 4X4.
