2016 Malibu

Has anyone bought, set up and towed this vehicle. Chevy says start the engine, put trans in neutral and turn off engine. The 12VDC power outlets time out after a few minutes so my Brake Buddy system loses power and will cease to function. I prefer not to have to run ANY electrical between the MH and car. I am going to use a wireless towbar light system. This incorporates running, brake and turn lights. The car brake lights illuminate anytime the brake pedal is depressed and will therefore work in addition to the lightbar. I am not concerned with running the car battery down as we will not be going that far/long in any given day. Anyone with the Malibu who has some experience or advice with this toad. Thanks

This is what I have used for the past 4 years and it works well. Schumacher Instant Power Jump Starter, check it out at Wallymart.

In my opinion, it would be best to run a secondary power outlet so you can use your car battery. This would have less of a chance to discharge the supply while towing.
