Perhaps their normal installer was on Christmas vacation. They cannot use the video if it is wrong. The normal looked very proficient.

2018 1.5L gas Equinox

There is an end result of the dbl stacked spacers that are not apparent in my photo but it wasn’t necessarily unsafe, just not the best way. The written instructions from RM are correct. The end result was resolved.

Is the 2.0l 2019 a 6 speed transmission?

No, I believe it is a 9 speed transmission.

I'm fairly certain that the diesel models have 6-speed transmissions. Only the 2.0L Turbo gas are 9-speed transmissions.

You are correct my mistake, all this time I have thought it was a 9 speed. I have the 2019 1.5L gas model.

"Hey we never done this before can we practice on yours for free?" I believe that would make me nervous.

Sounds like...all forum members meet at your house with all their various opinions and "insights" and practice on your car. I don't think that has ever been done before! What could possibly go wrong?

We had someone install our base plate but wondered if when you tow the 2019 if the mileage accumulates on the Equinox? We haven't towed yet.

As long as the ignition is NOT in the ON position the odometer will not register mileage while being towed.
