2020 Wrangler

Getting my new Wrangler ready to tow and I'm not sure of how to wire the lights. The tail lights are LED and I don't have the color coding for what wire is what. Don't think the MH will blow out the LED as I am using the diodes. Did have to buy the 3 to 2 converter that Roadmaster recommended. Mopar web site has been no help.

CoolTech makes a wonderful harness for the JL. Took me about an hour or so to install but it works perfectly.

Called Roadmaster and they gave me all the information I needed. Have been very satisfied dealing with them. I called Hopkins but they don't make a harness for the newer Jeep's.

Yes, I used a plug and play Hopkins on my JK, worked perfectly. That was my first choice but when they don't make it..... look elsewhere.

Just did it the old fashion way. Got a trailer wiring harness at Harbor Freight and used my old Diodes from my old toad.

Is $160 typical of these wiring harnesses? I need to setup my 2020 Rubicon with LED's. I don't see that much money in the kit? What am I missing?

I just got a wire harness for eTrailer for my 2020 Rubicon with LED tail lights for 58.95 about 30 minutes ago.

Do you mind posting a link or model number to what you purchased? Is it installed yet? Let us know what you think. Thanks.

Mopar makes a wiring harness that is around $300. It was pricey and a bit of a pain to install (time wise), but it is a factory option that requires no splicing.

I’ll second the Cooltech recommendation. Installed on my 2019 Wrangler. Easy install and works great!

JL wiring information

I just did my new Jeep and found this amazing resource. You will find the color codes for your tail lights.

https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/for...iagrams.19185/

You do need the diodes and I bought the etrailer kit.

I just finished setting our '20 up for toad duty. V6, automatic Rubi.

I used the Cooltech harness. Easy install following along with a great video I found on U-Tube (on the "Jeep Generation" channel).
