3 toad questions

Towing my Silverado Z71, its about 20 ft. long not including the Ready Brute Elite tow bar.

How sharp of a turn can I make, like turning into a parking lot, fuel stop and such, without the toad jack knifing or hitting the back of the coach?

How do I know if the brake cable is set properly? I pulled the truck for the first time last week, about 100 miles, no problems. The coach slowed down fine, I couldn't feel any extra braking or difference in braking, should I? (I got about two inches of slack in the cable)

I can tell the difference as far as pulling up a hill to maintain 60 - 65 mph via more accelerator pedal

Lastly, what happens when you have the transmission brake on and it shifts into the next lower gear with that surge brake?

I don't think you will have to worry about sharp turns, to be sure have someone watch as you do a sharp turn in an open area to warn you if it is going to make contact.

2 inches of slack in the cable is about right.

Your transmission brake probably isn't going to activate the surge brake. And even if it does it would only be for a short second or 2, remember the surge brake only activates when your towed vehicle is pushing against the tow bar hard enough, once the towed vehicle is slowed down to the same speed as your motorhome it is no longer pushing on the surge brake and no longer activating it. If it is activated it means it's slowing your towed vehicle down which is what you want anyway if your transmission is slowing your motorhome down,

I agree. When I first got my MH, I drove in a slow circle in a parking lot with a friend walking and watching. I had plenty of clearance in the tightest turn.
