40 ft Inspire - Towing 2011 Cadillac SRX

Camping world says they cannot fit the Cadillac with the Roadmaster Invisibrake. They can only do the "Brake Buddy".

I'm wondering if I have to go elsewhere to find someone to install the Blue Ox system or even if that is possible.

Any recommendations?

Thanks for any and all info!

According to eTrailer there are several systems that fit the 2011 SRX, including Invisibrake and Brake Master. I have no experience with the SRX just did an internet search. Here is the eTrailer page: 2011 SRX Toad Brake Systems

The SMI Air Force One claims to work on any vehicle and is a very highly rated system.

Hope this helps.

Don't rely on Camping World. Call Roadmaster to get the correct info.

You might give these guys a ring to see if their system will fit your car. You have nothing to hook up except a small airline and a deadman cable when you're towing.

We tow a 2011 Cadillac SRX and use a Toad Stop brake system. It has no airline between the car and coach but is about the same price. It is another option. The website is: Home

We used a Brake Buddy for our Saturn VUE from the outset. There were times when the exhaust brake would downshift at the same time as I used the brake. This would exaggerate the stop and cause the Brake Buddy to lock up the toad brakes and we would drag the toad to a stop. The final straw was when we flat-spotted a brand new set of Michelins. We switched to the AF One system and have not looked back. Very easy to hook up and proved itself on the first trip when some idiot coming out of a rest area decided to squeeze themselves into the small hole between us and the car in front of us. By the way, AF1 gave us a $200 credit toward the purchase of their system. Not sure if they are still offering that.
