We just fitted out our 2009 Pontiac Vibe (Toyota Matrix) to be our toad. Only the manual tranny with this make will work.

We just got a Honda Fit. That and the CRV are the only Honda automatics that tow. Most Toyotas and Nisans do not tow. Most GM šars will.

First of all go to Remco.com and plug in the type car you want to tow and you will get a pretty accurate answer. Many vehicle manufactuers automatically exclude their cars from towing as a matter of liability.
As for me I have towed several Hondas, some stick and some auto, presently I am towing a Chev HHR with auto. Some what of a Geezer mobile but works for my wife who is handicapped and can't climb into taller cars.

Can be frustrating just make it part of the RV lifestyle.

do not ask the dealer what will tow most of them do not know and will either tell you they will and be wrong or tell you they wont and maybe wrong. Read the user manual it will tell you for sure whether or not it will tow. Some ford models used to be able to tow but i have heard a rumor not that I have verified it that Ford came out with an interim user manual saying they will not tow. I have not seen that though.
