Acme car tow dolly tire size

Anyone know the tire size on the Acme Dolly. Would like to look them up and see what they cost.

206/65-10, E Rated trailer tires.
See half way down the page on the right, here:
Tow Dollies with Surge Brakes from Acme Tow Dolly Company | Car Tow Dolly

Average retail is usually around $50...sales make that less, of course
Acme sells them at $99 for 2...but that often means shipping too.

These dolly's are great...we've had ours for almost 2 years - bought it barely used - and have well, over 10,000 miles on it.
Hope that helps

Yes the good review does help, thanks. I think you meant 205 not 206. In my research I only see one manufacture for this tire and that gives me some concern.

Sorry for the typo - yes, it's 205/65-10.
And, many report a very similar tire is sold as the 20.5x8x10 (slightly less wide)...just be sure that it is E Rated or better for the load capability.

I don't worry about going through tires, they wear very will, but I do carry a spare.

I don't know about just 1 mfgt:
There's the Kenda LoadStar
Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire - 205/65-10 - Load Range D Kenda Tires and Wheels AM1HP54

There's one by American Tire (often sold on Amazon)

And there's the one with an F load rating (better) by Tow Master (sometimes sold on e-bay).

This size tire is on thousands of pop-top trailers because of the low profile.

The 20.5x8x10 is a standard tire (not P metric) and opens other options if needed.

Bets luck

Does Brake Buddy replace elec/surge dolly brakes

Pehaps a dumb question.

If I connect my Brake Buddy to my toad that is mounted on a tow dolly (no elec or surge brakes) will I still be legal to tow the dolly/car or do I still need the elec. surge brakes on the dolly?

Neither license plates, nor brakes are required on car dolly's in FL. FL uses the "combined vehicle" concept...tow and towed vehicles must stop within XX feet at XX mph.

If you leave FL, each state may be different.

If you decide to use the Brake Buddy in the dingy, be aware that the rear wheels on any vehicle provide MUCH less braking power than the front wheels...in other words, it won't work too well and might prematurely lock-up the brakes on the back.
Of course some brakes are better than no brakes.

Safe travels

these tires are also used quite often on trailers for higher end boats. i have found them on the internet and also at numerous RV and boat parts houses.
