The guy that sold me my "used once" EZ-Tow didn't need his new dolly anymore because he purchased a 5th wheel and pickup truck.

He forgot the spare in the basement of his coach when he traded/sold it during the transaction for the new 5th wheel!

Somewhere out there is a forgotten spare EZ-Tow wheel. And the new owner has no idea what it actually goes to!

Mike,

I store my spare in my coach basement. Does not take up much room.

Our spare AND ramps are in a bin...there is a mount on the dolly for the ramp, but it is our preference to keep honest folks honest

I made a plug adapter and plug one into the dolly and one into the car. I have the car set up with diodes so the tail lights operate with the dolly and coach.

I like like that, I may do that when I have time down the road.

It arrived this morning, only missed the delivery estimated day by 4 days - Labor Day weekend.

Looks good, did not see any damage. A bit of an effort to get it off the truck as it is longer than the lift gate. We put it at an angle and got it on the ground. Using a hand truck we pushed it into my drive way.

When I uncrated it, unlike in the video on ACME's site, it did not fall off those two bolts. They are longer than the ones in the video, so the dolly nose was stuck in the air and the bolts holding it back. I had to hit them out with a hammer. I recommend doing that before leaning it over onto the ground regardless of what the video says.

Nomad Mike...

Looking forward to hearing how you like the setup. We have a 1up USA and will be looking for a setup like yours to tow our Prius or RAV4. Does the radiator get the bikes very hot?

Just wondering how much heat carbon bikes can take.

Sorry I have no idea as I have just got the setup and have not taken it on any trips.

I just bought a trailer hitch for the Prius and may put the bike there if needed.

We have a receiver on our Prius...I just worry about ground clearance. With the nose of the Prius up in the air...will the 1Up rack drag the ground going over dips in the road? At least 1UP add-on racks seem to angle upward. We have a dual Thule rack (2" bar) that we use with the RAV...I bought the 1Up rack for my Prius...but only have a single...so, we're going to have to get the add-on for my wife's bike. I'm thinking about putting a bike cover over them as well.

Well...I thank you tons for this thread... I've got a lot I can learn thru your application of these components,

Best,

Charlie
