Adding surge brakes to car dolly

Has anyone added surge brakes? Or do I need to buy a new dolly.
I would like to tow a little heavier car and feel I should have brakes back there.

Assuming for a second it could be done, I still might be tempted to sell the one you have to defray from the expense of one that's set up the way I wanted. The time, trouble and expense of the conversion (IF it's even possible) might not be worth the trouble?

Probably cheaper to buy one with them. If it didn't have them then they also wouldn't put the brackets on to mount calipers. Might be more trouble then you think.

I agree, buy a new one.
New brakes, new tires, new bearings, new straps, etc., etc.
Plus a warranty........
