I use the camera and the mirrors. When I can see both headlights of the passed vehicle in the right mirror it is safe to pull in. This is verified with the camera.

Hi John! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

One thing that helps me know when the toad is clear of other cars is to look at the rear camera. I can see the toad and the lane beside it. That, along with the side mirrors, gives me all I need! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

When I first hooked up my toad, I towed it to a gravel/dirt parking lot, had my wife turn as tight as possible in a circle and noted the toad tire marks didn't go closer to the inside of the circle than the MH tires, so as stated earlier, if the coach makes the turn, the toad will.

Not necessarily, some states (WA, OR and CA) consider you to be a "combination vehicle" for towing. But still usually have to stick with the truck speed limits.

Thank you everyone. We figured out how to keep the rear camera on while driving - my wife was right - glad I asked!

I didn't have the right tools, but will adjust the rear camera so I can see front and back of the toad.

We did practice turning the MH in the RV lot a few times around cones. It helped. The toad did follow the MH and it handled better than our boat trailer.

Had to keep reminding myself that our MH was longer than before! Happy that I was able to see part of the toad using side mirrors when turning and people generally got out of my way if I gave them enough warning that I was switching lanes.

Getting more comfortable each trip. Thank you for being so nice and helpful!

When I first removed my camera to make adjustments I ended up with an interesting result. Sharon was standing on her head, the grass was up, and the blue sky was down! Very cool watching her wave upside down! So I had to go back out and remove and reinstall the camera so she was standing upright.
