I agree, I've had a local U Haul fabricate and weld a hitch on a vehicle before. They can do more than just bolt one on out of a box. It doesn't take an engineer to inspect a hitch to be sure it isn't rusted, damaged by a collision, or suffering from insufficient or cracked welds.
