Air Force one

Had a Air Force one installed on my 2017 Acadia by my rv dealer, the first tow went great but two days later when driving the Acadia the brake peddle does not release every time, it happens mostly when breaking hard. I have inspected the peddle area and can not see what is stopping the peddle to release. Any ideas?

Two things could be occurring....first, the piston mounted to your brake pedal could be moving around and binding up or catching on something. It has a small cable coming out of it that connects to the floorboard. Make sure everything is tight and there is no binding or moving of the piston.

Second, you have a break away switch mounted at the front of your vehicle. When towing, you connect the break away cable to the switch by plugging in the plastic pin. When not being towed, a dummy pin has to be placed in that break away switch. That switch may be dirty or going bad. I had to replace one of mine about a year ago. It bolts on and has two wires. It's easily replaced and the wiring doesn't care which wire you use, it's just a switch.

Next time it doesn't release remove the airline from the back of the cylinder thats on the brake arm. If it releases then there might be a kink in the hose and its holding air in the cylinder.

While I can not say on yours. I can say on mine.. Different system though

First.. Check the pedal pull/pusher IS IT releasing, if not then the problem is with the airforce one.

IN my case (US GEAR) the problem was not with the aux brake device

The idiot who installed it.. Well they removed a panel under the dash to install the slave control box (This unit has two control boxes, the one in the car is the "Slave" and when he installed it he offset it to the right, so it jammed the pedal arm and did not let it release.

Had nothing to do with the Aux-Brake device.. Everything to do with the installer.... I removed the panel (Which was there simply to hide everything, I was better off with it removed) and tossed it. Problem solved.

When you say it does not release are you sure brake is applied or are you just seeing brake indicator light on from in the coach?
We also just had this installed on our Wrangler and the indicator was touchy to get set properly. It looked like it was not working properly right after tech returned coach to us and demonstrated how it works. It took him a good 20 min. more to readjust.

To Thenman, the Acadia is not connected to the MH l'm driving the Acadia and can see the brake peddle. I believe I found the problem being a bad install by the dealer, will test today. Thanks to all for your help.
