air force one brake on powerglide chassis

Does anyone have an air force one brake working properly on a tiffin powerglide chassis ?

I have an air force one brake installed on my 2012 allegro bus powerglide and 2011 tundra and only get brakes applied in the tundra when the motorhome brake is applied very very hard. No one can figure out how to make it work properly.

What is your definition of "very, very hard". I have an AF1 on my Tiffin Freightliner chassis with a LED light on the dash that indicates when the toad brake is activated.

It takes a fair amount of pressure on the coach service brake before the AF1 is activated, and that is exactly how I want it to perform. I do not want the toad brakes to activate and try and help the coach slow down in normal driving situations. I only want it to give me extra braking force in a panic type stop.

However if you still think it isn't operating correctly I would suggest posting your question on the Tiffin RV Network forum TiffinRVNetwork There are many PowerGlide owners with AF1 systems that would be glad to share their knowledge.

I would check the amount of slack in the cable between the cylinder and the brake pedal in the toad.

Go on ebay, and buy the miniature air coupling which will fit you AFIair connector on the coach.
Then attach it to a pressure gauge.
Connect it to the coach and have someone apply different brake peddle pressure on the coach.
You should see proportionate reading on the gauge.

I did this on mine, buy using my phone to video the gauge.
I put a FRS radio by the phone.
From inside the coach i announced in the radio how hard i was pushing.

Then you get a narrated video.
