Air leak in even brake.

My two year old even brake has an air leak and I have isolated it to a part that I cannot recognize as it has no markings. Here is a picture. .. Does anyone know what the part is?

I went on the Roadmaster web site, from the parts list , it looks like they don't want anyone fixing their own units. The air cyl, has no P/N listed and the dump valve your after, isn't even shown. Call the 800 number, but I'm sure they'll say return for repair, no parts available , liability issues.

Thx Skip426 .. I think you are right .. It is the only part that does not have a name and part number on it and it may be proprietary. Maybe I can figure out how to repair the valve. $299.00 plus shipping to fix something that cost $1200.00 after only three uses seems to be unfair.

Alternate source

Don't know where you are located. So, I don't know if this is going to help you.

Try a Craig's List search for your local area. I bought an Even Brake from a Craig's listing locally for $400 simply because neither the seller or I knew how to test it correctly. It works great and I got a Falcon II tow bar included for that price too.

Try this first: craigslist.org
When I try this I always get the Sacramento Craigslist probably because I have a cookie set for Sacramento, which is here:
craigslist: sacramento

On the right side of a city listing is a list of other craigslist locations, search through for a location near you.

When you get a city near you, look under the 'forsale' list click 'rvs' then type brake into the search box, select the 'title only' box and then click search.
