RLCASC,
The M & G system is, in my opinion, the best air activated system out there for toad braking. There are many reasons.
1. The system and or component in the toad, is installed OUTSIDE THE CAB and , in between the power brake unit and the master cylinder. That means there's no actuation of the toads brake pedal. And that means, there's no activation of the toads brake lights, that might conflict with lighting signals from the coach.
2. There's no component or "robot" that you have to lift, carry and install, each and every time you need to get on the road. Then, when done towing for the evening, you'd have to disconnect it, lift it out, carry it someplace and store it.
3. All that's needed for hooking up between the coach and toad is a small, curly que airline with a female and male fitting.
As for getting your coach prepped for using the M & G on your car, you can call M & G or one of it's vendors and you'll get all the components you need sent right to you. In reality, it's merely a "Tee" that is inserted in a specific rear brake air line. And the middle section of the Tee, is connected to a 1/4" DOT air line that is routed along the frame, to the rear of the coach, and routed right next to your receiver (or in the vicinity at least) and the end is fitted with a female air fitting and hard mounted. Done.
The techs at M & G are great to deal with. If you plan or, desire to do the install of the coach side of their braking system, they'll walk you right through the simple install. It's not very technical at all. And don't think you're gonna destroy your air system if you don't know what you're doing. As stated, they'll walk you right through what it takes for your specific chassis and air system. Good luck and happy RVing with your new setup.
