I've read different things on the Equinox. Just how much prep and care is needed once underway?

Looks like it weighs about 3600 pounds. It is on the larger Fiat 500 platform, but as far as I know it is US made, and looks to be mid-uppers $20s.

How is your 2015 Cherokee doing as a toad? We recently bought one and now are seeing all the death wobble post.....

Only up to 2004, after that none were towable according to Honda. Of course they also said that about our '05 Odyssey and I'm towing it four down and have for thousands of miles.

My 2009 Honda Fit sport automatic is towable 4 down, light weight, and the procedures are outlined in the owners manual on what to do. Simply process and no issues at all towing it.

Very happy with the Trailhawk! We had some early challenges getting it into tow mode (see my related thread) but since the input I received here (seems that I was pausing in R on the N-P shift), all is good. We even did a bit of light off roading this week in the Smokies.

As a side note, we traded in a very low mileage 2012 Mercedes GLK 350 4Matic since it could not be towed 4 down, so we were not sure how we would like the Jeep in general, and I would say we actually like the Jeep more than the GLK.

I would wonder what you mean by American made? Is that assembled in the US from US parts, assembled in the US from off shore parts, assembled offshore from US parts?

Is there a percentage you have in mind? More than 50%? Parts supply vs assembly?

Is there a cost percentage you have in mind? I expect you will find a vehicle totally sourced and assembled in the US will be substantially more expensive than a vehicle produced and assembled using the best combination of labor cost and fund exchange the manufacturers use to build a vehicle that sells for a popular price.

Too many possibilities as there are all kinds of trade agreements in effect that make sharing the production of a particular vehicle difficult to determine.

What is "American made"?

DW has Toyato Venza made in U.S. (Georgetown, Kentucky) were as the Ford Edge is made in Canada. Which is American made? I say the Toyota, American workers paid and taxes to U.S.A.
The Venza is not flat towable.
