Another Jeep recall for Final Drive Control Module

Just received a recall notice for my 2005 Jeep GC. It is to reprogram the Final Drive Control Module, recall number is P73

This sounds similar to the N23 recall that I had done in 2013 and have had nothing but problems with it ever since. It will not go into 4WD low, I get the 4WD needs Service message, I have to pull the fuse to reset it. I can get it to go into Neutal about 2/3'rds of the time, the other 1/3'rd it will it will bring up the 4WD need service message.

I had taken it back to the dealer 4 times and they couldn't fix it and denied there was a problem with the recall. I put in a complaint to the NHTSA and also wrote Jeep. I did call Jeep customer service, they also never acknowledged this was a widespread problem.

I guess I will take it and see if correct the problem. Very disappointed in Jeep Customer Service

Mine is a 2005 but the recall was for multiple years, 2005-2010.

Here is a link to the notice
http://www.chrysler.com/universal/we...ce/pdf/P73.pdf

I had the first N23 recall done ~20 months ago, mine is still not right even after taking in 4 times. Finally got disgusted and gave up figuring they will eventually have to have another recall. I have an appointment on July 6th for this one and when I get it done I will test both the 4WD low and Neutral function to make sure they work.
