We are towing a 2005 Tahoe. I had a wiring harness/ diodes installed on it which is the 4 wire system and uses the red brake lights as turn lights instead of the yellow turn lights. We recently installed a brakemaster braking system on the Tahoe and even with the Tahoe switch off and the wiring harness disconnected, it actuates the Tahoe brake lights. This over-rides the turn lights if the brakemaster is actuated and turn lights from the motorhome on. In other words, if you are following me, you wont be able to see the turn lights on the Tahoe if I am braking at the same time. OK, if you are still with me; my question is what would be wrong with running the motorhome turn signal/ diode wiring to the yellow Tahoe turn lights and just let the Tahoe brake light system handle turning the brake lights on when the brakemaster pushes in the brake pedal? This sounds so simple, I am sure I must be missing something. I dont think there is enough room in the Tahoe light housing for another set of bulbs.

Or, you could access the stop light switch wiring above the brake pedal and install a separate switch in the line that you would turn off when towing/using brakemaster.

I decided yesterday evening just to take a closer look at the Tahoe light wiring. When I pulled the tail light housings off, the diodes were right there as expected. After a little testing, I just tied the factory brake wires back together, bypassing the diode, and ran the factory turn light wires thru the diode. Now it works great and I have the toad turn lights and running lights powered thru the coach wiring and the brake lights independently operated by the toad system. No switches to forget; simple fix and it took me less than an hour. Perfect solution for anyone whose toad brake lights work with the switch off.
