Anybody using the Ready Brute braking on Fiat?

Just bought the 500l but won't pick it up until end of week. Looking at the ready brute elite and hoping there is a way to route the brake cable. If not I may want a different tow bar. Thanks.

I'm using the Readybrake on my 13 Fiat 500. I had it installed in Phoenix. It was the first time the installer had done a Fiat 500 and it was very difficult. There is a cavity within the firewall between the passenger compartment and the engine compartment. The installer ended up opening a small (hand size) hole in the wheel well so he could route the brake cable in through the cavity. He used some type of sealer to replace the metal over the hole in the wheel well. I've been checking it and the seal is holding. My brake system works fine and I'm happy with the installation. Fortunately the installer charged me the quoted price, even though he had a lot more time into the job then he anticipated. If you have any more specific questions send me a PM.

Thanks. Got the 500L but still mulling the brake set up. Nobody in Dallas seems to want to try the ready brake but still may try it. Looking at options.

This is the guy that installed mine. It might be worth calling him and asking what was involved in installing the Readybrake.

RG and Sons Tow Bars, base plates,RV Supplies Repair,Mesa, Arizona

He also built the base plate. He's a welder and says he can build base plates cheaper than he can buy them.

Good luck

Thanks. I'll take a look at that when I get home to my PC. Won't open without Flash.
