Do not try to flat tow a Honda CRV or any Honda with a CVT Transmission. If you do you will be buying a new transmission.

Some valuable reading and information about CVT Transmissions.

Should You Buy a Car with a CVT Transmission? » AutoGuide.com News

Many of the car manufacturers are adopting this type of transmission however the conventional automatic transmission is not going totally away anytime soon. So the message is, be very careful when choosing what type of car you purchase to "Flat Tow".

Yup, after 40 years riding snowmobiles, I know what a CVT is. What I didn't know is that Honda had them available in production cars! Not for me I don't think...

Don't mess with the following tranny...it's sealed and is meant to be. The first is an awesomely built piece of equipment. Go with the drive shaft disconnect. It works great and is easy.

You don't want your transmission having strange issues in an epic off road moment.

Also..don't waste your time on the stock bumper with a baseplate...get an aftermarket bumper with recovery points.

I tow 2014 Ford Fusion hybrid and it's very easy. Hitch up and go. Speed restriction is 70mph. (Not an issue for me). Love it.

Anyone flat towing a "Automatic Car"

According the article at Autoguide.com, the 2015 CRV will come with a CVT. Remains to be seen if Honda will allow it to be flat towed.

I agree....I'd change it to "some". I had a 1996 and the transfer was completely manual. We're just talking about a group from 1998 until 2010

According to Honda ALL CR-V's can be flat towed. The new Fit's may or may not.

If it came with a CVT transmission, you had better get that statement in writing, guaranteed and signed by responsible person who will stand behind their word.

Just say'n.
