We been towing a '07 Saturn ION automatic for 5 years, (37k miles).
Hook up, shift to "N" (neutral), turn key to "ACC" (accessory), release parking brake and tow.

Tow the easiest, a Jeep Wrangler, and if your RV gets stuck you can pull it out with it

A lot of the Ford/Lincoln 3.5L or 3.7L FWD/AWD and some Crossovers have a Max of 65 MPH towing 4 down.
Only 70 MPH limit is the Fiesta & Focus

We have been towing a Ford Taurus. Restricted to no more than 65 miles per hour. Also, need to start it every 5 - 6 hours. Have not needed a charge line. No problems thus far.

Right now the most most popular towed vehicle is the Jeep Wrangler. Every time we go some where we see at least 6 motor homes towing one. You can get them from the very basic all the way up to the Rubicon. On the majority of them the steering does not lock. So, you don't have to pull any fuses or disconnect the negative battery cable. Just hook it up and go.

As long as it's a 4x4 Wrangler. Their RWD models can't be flat towed.

I would say jeep products are the most popular followed by the CRV, I see more Grand Cherokee than Wranglers

You talking about the new smaller Cherokee not the Grand Cherokee?
We drove the Cherokee & that is the car we like the best.

That was a specific model year/transmission of the Grand Cherokee. Does not apply to the (new) Cherokee or the current model Grand Cherokee.

2008 Chevy HHR with no restrictions since June 2008 not a single problem. No complicated wiring issues, light (some states MAY be brake exempt) and 30mpg!
