Anyone own a tandem tow?

So My dad and I have been looking for a tandem tow but they are pricey. So he calls me the other night and says he found one on craigslist in Tampa Florida which is a little over 600 miles away and ask if I will go get it so I did. It is a 2008 hdxl model. Does anyone have any reviews on using one? It seems like a good idea but haven't tried it out yet. Here's a few pics of it I took at a rest area on way home. I will be putting a golf cart on the platform and honda element on the dolly.

question....does your steering wheel have to be locked or secured on the tandem tow dolly? Our 2010 Mazda does not have a steering wheel lock

I take it that it has a turn table (no the steering does not need to be locked.)

Can you define "pricey" for me? This might work for us.

Thanks for the info, I may have to look into that. It looks like a nice piece of equipment.

I pulled my golf cart and Honda Element to Disney fort wilderness with it and it works great. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to pull there car and golf cart or motorcycle in one package.

How much weight can the platform carry and what are the dimensions of the platform? How wide is the dolly?

Not sure on width. Mine is a hdxl version and is built like a tank. It would probably tow a diesel 3/4 ton and not break a sweat.

I have a HDXL with a 9X10 deck. Rated a 5K load and 8K towing. I put a 800# harley and a 4000# Kia on mine and did 8K miles without issue.
