I have a F150 i flat tow behind my motorhome. I want to haul my golf cart in the truck bed.

Issue is with loading it. The cart has a rear seat with an extended foot plate. I’ve only hauled it once and had to back the truck up to a hill to get the ramps at an angle level enough to not drag the rear foot plate.

Does anyone have any tricks/tips on loading/unloading your carts on level ground?

Yu might want to look at making the rear foot plate removable, or on a hinge and can tilt.

If you are using straight ramps, you might try the ramps that start out straight, then go into a gentle curve as they approach the tail gate. This helps with low centers between wheels.

Longer ramps will give you less angle.Maybe two ramps with some sort of connection and support at the joint.

Not many people have access to a warehouse with a ground level loading ramp that is what I have done in the past. I would not consider ramps that are very dangerous and prone to moving out from under a load.

If you have a lot of property then on the cheap you can have a load of dirt dropped off and build a hill that is level with your pick up truck bed.

That works for loading. More concerned about when i arrive at the campground.

I’ve always ran a strap from the ramp to my hitch to prevent it from coming away from the tailgate and falling. It’s not fool proof I’m sure but seems to be a decent insurance policy.

Found these. Anyone heard of this brand. Pretty pricy. They look pretty solid. I’m guessing the 11 foot option would be best if I’m going to invest that much money.

A lot of ramps have “not for golf carts” in the fine print.

I've been using the long ramps .com ramps for two years, seen many cheap sets of ramps that I wouldn't chance using, these rams are arched to aid loading and strong, load my exgo in my 1981 Chevy 4x4 on level ground all the time only issue ever is it the tires are wet you have to go faster than preferred.
I also have the rear seat and step, I usually back the cart in the truck leaves the front wheels on the tailgate, most of the time I carry firewood across the front of the truck floor to hand rail. You won't regret money you spent on the long rams , mine are the 8' and I put a short stud in the top center of the wheel well and drilled a hole in the center on the side of the ramp for storage, 4 small bungee cords to the tie down rails hold them secure.

About a year ago we chased down a guy that had his golf cart in the back of F150 behind DP and lost the roof off of the golf cart.

You will be adding some significant weight to the hitch and tow bar. What is the weight capacity of your tow bar? What about the safety cables, and what break-away braking system do you have?

10,000 pound tow bar setup. F150 is just over 5000 pounds plus 1000 pounds for the golf cart.

Should have about a 3000 pound cushion factory in full tank of fuel and gear in the f150.

That sounds like your all set then. Hopefully, you wouldn't consider towing without a break-away braking system.

Regards to getting the golf car in and out of the bed; what about a couple motorcycle ramps (Harbor Freight?), and a 12 volt winch mounted in the front of the bed?
