Anyone towing 2016-2017 AWD Equinox

Is anyone towing a 2016 or 2017 AWD Equinox v6 engine or a Terrain?
Looking at them and local dealers differ on opinion. They say only FWD can be dinghy towed. The GMC manual says different. Also saw on line where some folks had 2012 or 13 models AWD and had transmission issues and are having a hard time with GM fixing. Just wanted someones first hand experience before buying one. Also GMC said not to get one with front crash detectors on it. They are a issue when toad is attached to RV.Have sent GM various emails about this and no reply. Even called help line which was useless.I noticed on most towing guides for 2016 the Equinox is not broken down as FWD and AWD .Just listed Equinox. The GMC is seperate. .It has FWD and AWD
Thanks in advance

I am with no problems at all and I have towed it over 5000 miles. I have the AWD being I wanted the 6 cylinder engine. With the Equinox if you want the 6 cyl you have to take the AWD transmission. On the Terrain both FWD and AWD are four wheel towable.

I know nothing about the front wheel crash detectors, being mine does not have it.

We have not towed ours yet and are in the process of setting up. However, we did extensive research as we wanted to downsize to one car that would take the place of all of our other vehicles and we could tow behind our motor home. There is an extensive thread on this site that you should read. Be advised you should only purchase the V6 model as it has standard power steering. The 4 cyl models have drive by wire technology and may be prone to the death wobble.
