Anyone towing a Colorado / Canyon with a Class C?

Does anyone tow a Colorado or Canyon with a class C rig? I have a Dynamax Isata 5 with the Cummings Turbo Diesel and the hitch is rated for 10,000lbs. Just wondering if the 4,200 pounds would be a little much for my rig.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I towed my Canyon behind my last coach. It was a gas Itasca Suncruiser 35A on a Workhorse W24 chassis with no issues. I also had the SMI Stay N Play braking system on the truck.

I tow my Colorado with a 37 ft 2008 Fleetwood Bounder Ford V10 with no problems. You will be fine as long as you stay under your GCVW.

My neighbor tows his 2016 Canyon diesel behind his 34' Fleetwood Terra.

This is VERY IMPORTANT.....The new Colorado and Canyons are one of the few vehicles that have available base plates that mount in different locations. If you buy the Roadmaster base plates, they mount where the tow hooks are located. This is a perfect height for most diesel pushers, but is really low for the tall height of a gasser hitch.

Blue Ox's base plates mount/attach above the bumper, about 8" higher than the Roadmaster plates. This makes them more compatible with the taller gassers, requiring less of a drop hitch, if any at all. Do your homework.
