Anyone Towing an Acura?

Time to turn in my leased Acura TL. According to the owner's manual, it can't be towed 4-down under any circumstances. I thought I read somewhere that it was ok to tow an ACRA TSX w/manual transmission. If that's the case, I may consider A TSX since I LOVE my Acura.

I have a 2003 3.2TL Type S (which I absolutely love) that I've been towing 4 down for over a year with no problem. Just follow the proper procedures. Start the engine, put it in 1st and work your way up to neutral. Let it idle for a few minutes and you're off. NEVER go from reverse to neutral.

I don't know about the TSX, but I would imagine the procedure is about the same. Honda says these are not towable, but I've heard quite a few people towing Honda Accords and Acura TLs. Mine's a few years old, and yours will be new, so there may be some differences.

The TSX is the only new model available with a standard transmission. Guess I need to go by the dealership and review the TSX owner's manual.

We've been towing a 1994 Acura Integra sedan with manual transmission 4-down for several years. The manual does not recommend it, but we have had no problems, the car has over 200,000mi on it and we've towed it about 16,000.

The TSX is the replacement for the Integra sedan, it would be nice if they allow 4-down towing with it.
