We all sound like an ad for SMI .

Bob, I never read about the 3/4 second delay. Thanks for posting it.

I have seen the diagram & don't see anything that connects to pedal. At this point I am going to assume the braking is done thru the vacuum boost & there is no connection to actual pedal.....If so, I need one ! I have Brake Buddy...

Here is SMI's picture of the cylinder attached to the brake pedal.

Thanks rebelsbeach, That makes a lot more sense, just didn't see it in the diagrams. Looks like permanent mount that is out of the way & left on when not in use ?

I'm not sure at this very moment but SMI products may become available through RV Upgrades in the very near future. I'm hoping that the prices will be less than MSRP.

Send a message via AIM to Oemtech
There are 3 vacuum assited OEM's that I considered.

1) M&G Engineering Link Here
2) Unified Tow Brake Link Here
3) SMI Link Here

I chose Unified Tow Brake for a couple of reasons. One I found a used one in the iRV2 classifieds for less than $300. It has 2 levels of braking Proportional Braking and Progressive Braking.

I use a Ready Brake for my Saturn Toad.

http://www.readybrake.com/

Cheap easy to use, easy to install, and after having to slam on the brakes to avoid 3 deer, it works just great. No vehicle modifications needed.
