We're in the process of getting a MH that has a 4-down hitch, and I'm looking at a car with a 5-speed Manual tranny.
Is this going to be simple? Can I just place the shifter into N and head down the road? It's a RWD BMW 3-series, if that makes a difference.

The Owners Manual... (for the ? year)... RWD BMW 3-series auto will contain "towing instructions" and and any "DO NOT DO warnings" for that particular car.

well, Duh!!! Page 67 gives me the green light to tow with rear wheels on the ground, so a tow dolly is good to go.

I'll have time to check with BMW about towing a manual 4 down during the week.
